How it works
From the quote to the payment, in one place.
TaskMerit follows the job the way your company already works it. Nothing gets typed twice: the estimate becomes the visit, and the visit becomes the invoice.
- QuoteBuild an estimate from your services and packages, priced by the visit, the hour, the square foot or a material recipe.
- ApproveEmail it. The customer approves or declines online with their name. They don't need an account.
- ScheduleApproved lines become visits on a crew's day, once or repeating every 1 to 26 weeks.
- Do the workThe crew sees today's stops in order, reads the property's alerts, and adds notes and before and after photos.
- Get paidInvoice the finished visits, one customer or a whole month at once, or bill a larger job in parts. Customers can pay online, or you record the check.
For the office
Everything the office keeps track of.
Built with a working landscaping company during the private beta, around how property work is quoted, scheduled and billed.
Customers and properties
- Gate codes, access windows and alerts kept on the property, where crews need them
- Separate emails for proposals and billing, and parent accounts for property managers
- Tags like Dog on property or VIP, and you choose which ones crews see
- Pause a customer or mark them Do Not Service, with the reason kept
Estimates and pricing
- Flat rate, hourly, per unit, time and materials, or a material recipe
- Packages like a five-step fertilization plan add every service in one tap
- Projected labor, materials and job cost on every line
- Approvals recorded with the customer's name and the time
Billing and payments
- Invoices from completed visits, so each visit is billed once, or a job billed in parts, like a deposit, then progress payments
- Payment terms and sales tax set per customer
- Online payment by card or bank transfer through your own Stripe account. Autopay, if you turn it on: a customer can choose to have later invoices paid automatically
- Partial payments, voids with a reason, and overdue invoices on Today
Team and permissions
- Invite people by email, or hang up a QR code new hires scan to ask to join
- Positions decide who sees prices, revenue and customer contact details
- Crews, crew leads and seasonal workers, with past work kept when someone leaves
- Materials and chemicals with their EPA number, label and safety data sheet
For the crew
Big buttons. Today's stops. That's it.
Crews open TaskMerit on their phone and see their own day, nothing else. Large buttons work with gloves on, and every tap says whether it saved.
- The crew lead checks in who's on the truck today
- Stops in order, with Directions to each address
- Alerts that must be read before the visit can start
- Notes and before and after photos saved to the visit
- Labels and safety data sheets for every chemical, one tap away
Rain and snow
When the weather changes the plan.
A rainy afternoon
Pick the day and see which flexible visits would move and how full each crew's new day gets, before anything changes. Locked and started work stays put. Apply it, and one Undo puts it all back.
A snowstorm
Keep each crew's snow route in order, with commercial lots first and properties that only get plowed over two inches. Start the storm and watch each property get plowed as crews record their passes from the truck.
Do my crews need to install an app?
No. TaskMerit runs in the phone's web browser, so there is nothing to download. A crew member signs in and sees only their crew's stops for today. If the signal drops, the step says it didn't save and offers Retry.
Does it work with QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Import your QuickBooks customers, and send new TaskMerit customers to QuickBooks. If you turn it on, each invoice posts to QuickBooks when you send it, followed by its payments and any void, and QuickBooks works out the sales tax. Each service can carry its QuickBooks income account.
Can my crews see our prices?
Only if you let them. Each position decides whether it sees prices, costs and revenue, and the crew phone screen shows none of the office's records.
What does it cost?
Companies in the private beta use everything free while the beta runs.
Is our company's information private?
Yes. Each company has its own workspace, kept apart from every other company's. Every change is recorded with who made it, and most can be undone.
What isn't in TaskMerit yet?
Route optimization, text messages to customers, live weather forecasts and working offline. We'll say so here when that changes.
